Langrisser Schwarz - Gamania Game Show 2011 Trailer

"In the 2011 Gamania Game Show taking palce on 9/8 and 9/9, Gamania showed more details on Langrisser Schwars, a new chapter in the beloved classic console series, Langrisser. Since its debut in 1991, millions of copies have been sold worldwide. The new online version, while staying true to the original, will introduce many new elements so that gamers will have an even richer experience. The new game will feature the brand-new music of Noriyuki Iwadare, the music composer of the original game. The press at the evevt were also very impressed by the character creation quiz and the three different forces. Langrisser Schwarz is scheduled to be released in fall, 2012.

The game's director Ichisaki Hiroyasu said "The art, story, and music of the original Langrisser are remembered very fondly by many gamers. Gamania has been working hard to make sure that the new game will feature the same elements. When the game starts, the player see the Gooddess Lushiris. In the original, the player was assigned to forces of light. However, in the online game, the player may freely choose which of the three forces he would like to join. Based in the player's answers, the goddess would suggest which faction is the most suitable. Are you seeking peace and order? Join the forces of light. If you believe in power, you should join the empire. Lastly, join the forces of dark if you wish to restructure the world. During the event, the press were given the chance to interact with the goddess.

The class tree from the original game has been designed by Gamania. After the character creation quiz, the player will be placed onto one of the class trees: path of courage (warrior), path of honor (ranger), path of defense (guardian), path of freedom (archer), path of wisdom (mage), and path of faith (priest).

Langrisser Schwars has some strategic elements such as mercenaries and tactics. The game will assign mercenaries for the player at the beginning based on his class.
